So far, my little one is more interested in eating books than listening to them read. It's great to teach little ones other languages, as their little sponge brains soak up everything! I'm going to have to stick with the limited Spanish and ASL that I know... at least for now.
Well his argument is that she'll end up being able to say foreign words but it would be more for the purpose of showing off than anything else. And yeah, I suppose that could happen if I try to teach her other languages, since I'm not around much. But I'll be there for at least a year starting next summer, so maybe I'll have a chance to prove him wrong!
I keep asking my brother when I can teach his (now 2-year-old) daughter Latin. He seems to think I am joking.
ReplyDeleteI think that's a great idea. Every child should have an aunt willing to encourage her to learn Latin.
